While the new Outlook has a nice interface, 80% of the useful functions that were in the old outlook are not in the new one, and yet I'm forced to use the new one as the old version no longer supports searches through old (or new) emails, unless someone has a trick to fix this.
Much lamented missing features in the new version are
- access to Desktop folders,
- Constructive rules (like - if the sender is not in my address book, mark the email as low priority and move it to a new folder from the inbox),
- parallel display of my diary and my secretary's diary,
- coding lists of recipients from my address book (user field 1, 2, 3 etc)
- sorting tasks by priority then date due.
So I;m stuck with flicking back and forward between the old (for most functions) and new (for searching) version and its very frustrating
