GPiper_Creative I'm not surprised in the slightest but I just want to point out how disappointed i am that an indie third party got this right while a full team of M$ programmers couldn't crack it (of course this is assuming they didn't just assign this project to an intern.)
I just want to point out that Strongsync website specifically calls out "Our File Provider directly integrates with Spotlight search indexing for content you've browsed or downloaded locally." so this may actually be a limit of FileProvider itself, and not a fault on MS part (whose fault is, however, the inacceptably poor planning of this transition and slow response to a huge problem)
Strongsync apparently "patched" this by adding a sort of server search (I quote again "We also provide a comprehensive full-library search inside the main user interface that lets you quickly find and open locally any file you have access to remotely. [...] Server-side search is the missing piece for most desktop clients, and Strongsync provides both local and remote search." Shots fired Microsoft!)
I believe MS has the resources to find a solution for this, but first they should start to take this seriously or we may never see a real fix.
