Dear OneDrive Development Team,
I am writing to recommend the incorporation of a Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) feature in the file sharing functionality of OneDrive. This feature would allow users to share files with both internal and external parties without disclosing the email addresses of all recipients, thereby maintaining privacy and adhering to data protection regulations.
Currently, users must manually copy the sharing link from OneDrive and paste it into an email, which is then sent via their email client. This process is not only time-consuming but also prone to errors. Furthermore, it does not align with the seamless user experience that OneDrive typically provides.
More importantly, the lack of a BCC feature can lead to compliance issues. According to data protection laws, it is inappropriate to disclose the email addresses of all involved parties in an email thread. Therefore, sending an email where all recipient addresses are visible could potentially violate these laws.
Incorporating a BCC feature directly within OneDrive would streamline the file sharing process, enhance user experience, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. We believe this would be a valuable addition to your next update.
Thank you for considering this recommendation.
Best regards, Nathan Martins
