Hmm does not work for me. Tried for both SD and PenDrive
Volumen type APFS encrypted, non-case sensitive
Whenever I tried to change the location, I received the following message, which can be translated: "Cannot create OneDrive service folder in the selected location" " Try using a different location. Make sure that this location is not on a removable drive or on a drive with case-sensitive file format."

I'm not able to fully read the language in the screenshot you provided, but I'm guessing the volume's format is "APFS (encrypted)". Confusingly, this does not meet the "encrypted" requirement. It needs to be FileVault encrypted, the steps for which are:
- Format the drive for case-insensitive APFS, if it is not already.
- Find the drive in the Finder.
- Option/right click the drive and choose Encrypt.
- Follow the prompts.
This is unfortunately a requirement imposed by macOS so we don't have any flexibility on it.

I managed to get it working without doing any changes to the removable drive... I had OneDrive installed from the appstore, removed it and cleared any local files and installed the standalone app. It then worked directly without issues, so seems to me like an app bug, either a difference in the Appstore version which is the same version so wouldn't see how/why, or related to leftover files when unliking an account?

I'm having the exact same issue, even though drive is APFS, encrypted, etc... any solutions?
