kaylangan Unless I'm missing something, it seems there's now no way to disable the 'on-demand' option to keep files stored offline in the Mac version of the app (Version 21.245.1128.0001 (Standalone)).
According to the app, all files are either on-demand or not visible in Finder – the old 'always available' option is mission. Switching to the Apple Silicon version of the app doesn’t change this.
The 'Always keep on this device' option isn't available for all folders and, when it is available, doesn't work consistently. And having to do that for hundreds of folders (even if it worked) is obviously impractical.
This originally unnoticed background update seriously screwed up my day today – I had to figure what had happened to all my folders (slow to open, contents not always visible, files won't work with QuickLook) – and removing this feature renders this latest preview version of OneDrive useless to me.
Edit: Uninstalling and reverting to Version 21.230.1206.0004 from the App Store has restored the option to turn off Files On-Demand so that all files are stored locally ('Always available').
