Just to echo some of the above .... Its not a feature I was expecting or need to be honest. I just wish that Microsoft look in to the numerous issues.
E.g ...
- IOS platform version, where the app shows all picture files from all folders and lumps them all under photos. It's near impossible to organise a weeks work with screen shots, old web site png files etc mixed in as well.
- Syncing folders under Windows 11 can be slow or erratic even with a 1000mbs WAN. For us... Adding numerous files to a folder that's been renamed during the copy process causes issues.
- Folder icons that show online/local status of the folders once sync'd is either incorrect of very slow to show the correct status.
- Sharing folders requires the recipients to have a Microsoft account which isn't always the case and shouldn't be needed.
- Onedrive has to re-sync the whole file once a change has been made instead of syncing just the part that's been edited which is far quicker - like Dropbox.
- Why is there a need for a 540GB daily limit for syncing files which can be worked around with a *.ini file edit.
- Upload file size limit is too small.
- The cost of 2TB storage is a bit excessive.
etc etc ....
As a 365 subscriber I tend to flick between Dropbox and Onedrive hoping that Onedrive can deliver thus removing the need for Dropbox. However, Dropbox just works, shares with ease, doesn't have any upload/download restrictions or sync errors when performing multiple operations...
