Some month ago, I made a clean installation of Monterey 12.2, after reformatting the disk, and then installed the ”current channel” Office package with OneDrive version 21.245.1128.0002. I then turned of all autoupdates and did not touch the button in App Store to update OneDrive and I am updating the other programs on 365 manually. Everything worked will and as I am used to. Today, I upgraded to Monterey 12.3.1 since the computer is somewhat of a test computer. I expected a mess like all your othersgot but surprisinglyOneDrive works as before, that is, no new CloudStorage folder in the Library (see figure) and my files are located and sync in the old physical OneDrive folder as expected. Apparently, the old version of OneDrive works even on the latest Monterey where the kernel extension has been removed. Interesting !!!This suggest that if you want to have it as before and it works for you – don’t upgrade OneDrive and stay out of previews and automatic updates.
