Trevor_Pott Yes I can vouch for this first hand having spent 3yrs in India with likely with many similar teams to those doing OneDrive, although for some reason I suspect it is in China, but MS and all the major vendors outsource much of this stuff. But your post hits the nail on the head, this is a strategic decision very high up the tree and I also suspect they don’t have any real idea just how disruptive this is in the real world. Multi fibre connections simply are not the same as 4G or satellite - let alone on a plane or global roaming. But honestly in this current world, how do they think people are supposed to work with 60ms latency and sometimes 30 secs delay in doing ANYTHING file related, let alone indexing or content searching, mind numbingly stupid and their silence is arrogant beyond belief.!!!
