All very wonderful Microsoft but it seems no one has considered the folder-file name structure.
This upgrade has now invalidated my SharePoint due to folder-file names exceeding the maximum.
We've struggled with this in Windows all along. At least in Windows the folder/file structure is listed and OneDrive works, even with errors when one tries to open one of the excessive file/path names.
However in Mac Monterey 12.2.1 & OneDrive 22.012.0117.0003, OneDrive crashes and we get nothing. No folders, no files.
Part of the problem is also the necessity that the legal entity name in full is part of the folder structure. We have a not-for-profit name taking up 42 characters of the 255. The whole path name is 102 characters before we have the first SharePoint Folder.
Even cloudstorage/OneDrive-SharedLibraries- represents 39 characters.
It all looks pretty but folks it doesn't work in the real world 😞
