Fortunately I managed to download all. My personal better experience:
- After clicking on the cloud badge of a folder, it often reappeared later until multiple attempts. Even when the folder was marked always kept and everything inside was downloaded, the cloud badge could appear again when files were added from other devices.
- Files were actually not deleted locally after this update— this new OneDrive version would simply take hours to download from the local cache, and I had to keep checking if the cloud badge reappeared on any folder.
- It took long time to check before downloading and uploading. OneDrive could consume more than 6 GB of RAM during a process.
- OneDrive crashed a few times. A dialog box of communication error appeared sometimes after clicking on the cloud badge.
This is truly a better user experience, better application compatibility, and better reliability claimed by Microsoft. Good job!
