Ugh! I’m irate. MS could have made half this easier if it preserved and carried over DISABLE Files on Demand instead of just auto enrolling. How about I come to your house and move all your tools without telling you. No. Unacceptable behavior. I want all my files local on my system at all times by default and do not want to have to go around all over the place to set this.
And then after ‘pinning’ all my folders using this kludgy process and letting OneDrive sync everything, Finder is SLOW. As in, open directory and it appears empty for 5-10 seconds before the file list populates. And it’s worse because there is no indicator to the user that it’s “loading”. My god we’re on SSDs that can read and write Gigabytes per second with thousands of IOPS and it takes up to 10 seconds to list 50 files in a directory!? This is ludicrous.
