Where the cache is
This is where the cache with all the files that were on my hard drive (local) are now located. I can have any of them "downloaded" into the sync root folder just by opening them from the sync root folder (even with no internet connection) after which they show only the pinned icon instead both the pinned and cloud icons. So I still have all my files in the cache (they were not deleted and left only in the cloud) and I expect they will stay there provided I go in and set "keep, etc" (internally known as pinning) for all the folders originally had in my non-on demand setting in the first place, in the sync root folder.
Thank you to YL_Chen for showing me a way to force the "download" (or update from the file in the cache). As I said I can do this even offline since my files have indeed been preserved (at least temporarily) in the cache.
Anyway, BE CAREFUL with that "hidden" cache folder.....
