I have a question. I have a client who has business locations in Asia & EU. Its Office 365 license is bought by its Asian HQ. SharePoint is the platform in which we are going to use to put all the locations' working files in including sensitive personal data. Employees working in Asia & EU both have access to the same folders & documents. The question is, how can I ensure that my SharePoint is GDPR compliant?
On a secondary note, can anyone point me to the source in the EU directive that EU personal data must reside in data centers located within the EU as that appears to be the common understanding. Any help is much appreciated!
