We are working on publishing documentation for this feature and expect to have it out shortly (well in advance of when the feature actually rolls out). The information in the "At a glance summary" is the same you will find in the File Card that shows up when you hover on files in OD/SP web). Customers can opt out now by running the PowerShell listed in the Message Center post. Thanks for your feedback and we'll make sure to continue iterating and improving here. Thanks!
