This decision is long overdue, but there is very little lead time.
Back in 2019, we went through a significant SP2010 to SPO migration (+2TB, 300 Site Collections) and had A LOT OF STRUGGLES with approval workflows.
After investigating the Power Automate platform, we decided to push through the migration and work out the SP2010 workflows since the PA tool lacked the robustness we needed. The tool is still very rough and cannot handle even simple workloads.
Removing SP2010 WF without a robust/real replacement will only push users to the SP2013 workflow. The same discussion will be had when that decision is taken for the SP2013 WF.
I appreciate that the statement and decision is made. We need this to push our end-users and business to take action. But we definitely need more time for the change.
