Dynamics 365 export data to Excel feature is a very easy way to organize, manage, summarize, analyze, explore, and present your data and then share it with others or make it available to all Dynamics 365 users. Dynamics 365 offers the possibilities to export data to Excel file and there’s three types of export available in Dynamics 365:
- Excel static worksheet: You can Use a static Excel worksheet when you want to present customer information to someone who doesn't have access to Dynamics 365, or when you have data that doesn't change often. Also, analyzing large datasets is not a problem because you can export up to 100,000 rows of data. So, exporting data to a static worksheet creates a local copy of the exported data and stores it on your computer.
- Excel dynamic worksheet: This type of export allows you to get the latest information without having to navigate Dynamics solutions.
- Excel PivotTable: Using remote connections, you can export data to an Excel PivotTable. Excel PivotTable provides a great tool to summarize, analyze, explore, and present your Customer Dynamics 365 data.
“When you export to a dynamic worksheet or PivotTable, a link is maintained between the Excel worksheet and Dynamics 365 (online). Every time a dynamic worksheet or PivotTable is refreshed, you’ll be authenticated with Dynamics 365 (online) using your credentials. You’ll be able to see the data that you have permissions to view”.
