Getting full control over MSIX updates with the App Installer APIs

Few quesitons:

1. Are there any flags in VS or msbuild that will setup the "UpdateSettings" the way we want each time we build the project so that we don't have to manually modify the .appInstaller file ?

2.  Why are you using "RequestAddPackageByAppInstallerFileAsync"

 and not other methods e.g. "UpdatePackageAsync" it name suggests that it's for updating isn't it ? or "RequestAddPackageAsync" what is the difference between those cause the documentation does really explains it. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/uwp/api/windows.management.deployment.packagemanager.addpackagebyappinstallerfileasync?view=winrt-22621
