To help our customers engage more directly with the product team and learn from other Workplace Analytics users, we recently launched the Workplace Analytics User Community on Microsoft Teams. Customers can use the community to:

  • Hear about the latest Workplace Analytics updates and features
  • Ask questions and learn about best practices and use cases
  • Discover trending people and organizational analytics news

Along with our presence on Teams, we also host a bi-monthly call with community members where we share case studies, review roadmap items, and conduct live feature demos. You can register for the Workplace Analytics User Community here. After we approve your request, you'll receive an invitation to the community on Teams and invitations for our community calls. We look forward to engaging with you!

Thanks, as always, Nathan for your reply. One of the key reasons given for moving from Yammer to this platform was growth and openness. For me it has also been discoverability. That’s going to be harder from a closed platform especially for newcomers. I see no reason not to start here but that’s of course the team’s decision. Wishing you all the best.

  • Hi John Wynne--As always, appreciate the feedback. I should clarify that the Workplace Analytics User Community is available to anyone that's interested--members do not need to be Workplace Analytics customers. For the time being, Teams allows us to foster a small, intimate community while easily sharing content and answering questions (most of our members already live in Teams). Again, I expect that we'll transition to a different platform once we hit critical mass. Thanks!

I'm not sure having a closed platform does much for Workplace Analytics. I understood that Microsoft and Office 365 was for 'everyone'. Increasingly this seems like this team is going off in the opposite direction. Disappointing.

  • Thanks for the feedback wroot! Our intention is to foster a budding community in a closed platform that all of our specialists and analysts have easy access to (to support the conversation). I expect that we will eventually transition to a different platform in the future. I'll be sure to pass your feedback on to the Community Engagement team.

Hm, what is wrong with this https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Workplace-Analytics-MyAnalytics/ct-p/Office365Analytics ? Aside the fact that this site is slow as hell, but that applies to all forums here. Why a some what closed and invitations based garden in Teams? And do you have a channel for every question or they will just pile up in one channel? What about history? Well, i can understand the calls being done via Teams, but not as replacement for forums/blogs for help, practices and news.
