A great vision. Many organizations' IT departments want to easily manage the PCs throughout their Life Cycle, including automatically rebuilding the User environment (apps + data) when a machine fails.
I would suggest you prioritize upcoming blog discussion on the Configuration Management challenges first, as this is the primary operational obstacle I am seeing, after security concerns (which are actually very addressable). There are still challenges with legacy end point management, and current practice seems to be co-management (SCCM + InTune) on a practical level.
MMD is still early in its evolution, but there is little doubt Microsoft will evolve into a great "consumer experience" for employees in organizations of any size.
