MMD seems interesting. I've read the documentation and understand you have to have a supported/required device and you can also purchase it from whichever reseller/partner you want as long as you register it yourself. It states in the documentation that
Have an image approved by Microsoft Managed Desktop. When you order devices, make sure you specify that they are being used with Microsoft Managed Desktop.
What image is this and how can I get it or is it just a standard image of Windows 10 on the latest version? Like (at the moment) version 1809 from here: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
