Quick Assist has been my Goto remote access solutions for some time now and when Previewing Remote Help, I couldn't believe that Remote Help seems to be a modified clone of Quick Assist app, so if Microsoft do intend to charge extra for this Advanced Management Addon which includes Remote Help Ill carry on using Quick Assist as I have been and has worked perfectly. Granted I would love to be able to initiate remote sessions via Endpoint Manager itself but for just this feature It's not worth paying more than I already am on MS 365 E5 now.........
I did wonder if it would be possible to decompile Remote Help app itself to cut and paste this Remote Session initiation from Endpoint manager into a decompiled Quick Assist build somehow????
Anyway if Remote help is released as a premium addon Microsoft certainly wont be finding sales from me at least. I agree with the many other users posting above in that Remote Help should be a free feature plans that entitle Endpoint manager itself as a minimum but if not surely E5 should get it included seeing how much that costs me already????
But It is however a move in the right direction from using having to use Teamviewer to initiate Remote sessions from within Endpoint manager, it just needs to be an addition to Endpoint manger and not an addon feature now!! I can however see it may have more attractivness in selling power to Business's that would require the Tiered Access levels with Remote help aswell as the other features described above considering how much the required Teamviewer editions licence costs. But for myself I wouldnt pay for it seeing as I have been able to provide Remote Assistance so far using Quick Assist anyway.........
