Until now, creating a form/quiz required access to the Forms website. I’m happy to share that we've now streamlined the process with the new Forms app, so you can create surveys and forms with just a few clicks.

Within the Forms app, you will enjoy the same experience as on the Forms website. You can create forms/quizzes, choose questions from AI suggestions and select from a variety of themes. Once you finish creating your form you can effortlessly distribute it from the app.

Note: Currently, the Forms app requires an internet connection, so you can’t use it offline.

Same experience as on the Forms website

How to get the app?

1. Install from the Microsoft store now

2. Install from your browser

You can also install the app directly from a web browser. From the Forms website you will find the small icon in the top address bar indicating that the app is available. Simply click to install the Forms app on your PC.

Great to see Forms being released as a stand alone Windows app and browser app. Is a mobile Forms app for iOS and Android devices also on the roadmap?

Sadly this has totally broken the ability to pin a frequently used form to a mobile device's home screen. Instead, it asks the user whether they would like to install the Forms PWA.

Is there a way around this?!

This is just an container that embeds the Online Forms webpage, don't call it an "app"...

Wonderful … more new features but still no decent admin tooling for Forms, which can only be described at best as “dire”!

I thought I saw a notice indicating you can edit a survey that's been submitted. All I can find is information on editing a survey that I've submitted. I've added a question and want to go back and code the responses to the new question as "not applicable".
