Why just why would you not honor the device policies set for Edge on a business system? We require our users to login to their corporate account in Edge and all is fine. We have a startpage enforced and have policies set to restrict the installation of certain extensions, but once they create a personal profile most restrictions are ignored and they can just do whatever they like.
We don't want to restrict users from creating a personal profile, but now it seems we must since our Edge policies have become quite useless if you can just create a personal profile avoid them. In my opinion a device policy should always be applied regardless of which personal profile you are using in Edge. That's why it's a device profile. So far Chrome did honor the device settings no matter what profile you used.
Please please revert these changes or we must find new ways for our users to browse the web from corporate laptops.
