Shout out to RickTurner & Team! The Adobe-Edge integration is working great for our Intune joined end-users with the following Settings Catalog flags targeted to users.
Intune Settings Catalog flags (for Microsoft Edge):
- Secure mode and Certificate-based Digital Signature validation in native PDF reader (User) [Enabled]
- XFA support in native PDF reader enabled (User) [Enabled]
- Allow notifications to set Microsoft Edge as default PDF reader (User) [Enabled]
Intune Administrative Template flags (assigned to All Users) *Available with 2304 Intune Service Release
Microsoft Edge built-in PDF reader powered by Adobe Acrobat enabled [Enabled]
- Shows button on native PDF viewer in Microsoft Edge that allows users to sign up for Adobe Acrobat subscription [Disabled]
AND The Adobe Extension that auto-installs in the Edge Configuration Profile from the Edge Web Store should be included in your Edge Settings Catalog (as a force-install with no option for users to remove):
- Extension ID: elhekieabhbkpmcefcoobjddigjcaadp (for those who want to add to their Edge Configs in Intune. View official page here)
- FYI: this extension ID works for Edge on both Windows & MacOS
TIP: It also helps to auto-install the Adobe Acrobat Reader app as a required app for Users who will expect desktop specific functionality. This installs nicely via Windows Autopilot with the New Microsoft Store app assignment available in Intune.
I wonder if all of this could be packaged into one configuration baseline that Managed Service Providers could easily configure via Microsoft 365 Lighthouse AND RickTurner, could the Intune Team include Settings Catalog flags for the Adminstrative Template flags I included above? This would help in combining all this into one Settings Catalog instead of 2 seperate policies in MEM.
