Ric BretschneiderI don't want to leave this in a negative situation. I'm not disputing your subsequent comments. My original comment was to both you and OneNote2016Fan regarding "new OneNote" which I assumed was the now-abandoned UWP app, since that's what OneNote2016Fan mentioned. As you can see OneNote2016Fan left a very nice follow-up on how he had not heard the updates.
Microsoft is now doing the same thing to Outlook with the "New Outlook" which is just a wrapper for the PWA version, their vision is to completely abandon the more powerful desktop app. Hopefully public response will be similar to OneNote so they backtrack, but you are correct in how Microsoft has really strange directions to their cash cows just because they aren't the currently hot thing. I do not blame anybody either for being upset or looking for alternatives. You have every right to feel like the faith in the support of their products has been broken. They are quick to cast aside extremely loyal (and paying!) customers for questionable reasons.
