This is all great. Good to know that OneNote is still beating strong! But truly, as a 10+ year user of OneNote (now synced across all my devices), I think the ones which need the most love now are the iOS/Android apps.
- In iOS, Often crashes completely, losing what you just wrote.
- Also, it uses so much CPU that it drains your battery faster than any app I know.
And the features that were missing years ago are still missing, with no update ever bringing them to iOS. Things like:
-Search inside a page
-Colors, highlight, and styles for text
-Table (make chart, add rows/columns, shading...) -Print or export as PDF (currently you can do this but it prints longer pages as a single gigantic page so it’s unusable)
-New widget
-Being able to change order of pinned notes
-Integration into Apple Shortcuts: means you could make icons on your home screen to open a specific OneNote page
I still love OneNote as my primary app for pretty much everything, but for now it’s so neglected it’s a shame from a company like Microsoft. Especially for people who have used OneNote as one of their primary tools for years, on PC as well as mobile.
Hope you breathe life into the mobile apps as well (and if there is a beta program, I’d be happy to sign up)
