Suggestion for improving the customer & developer usability experience.
After a clean install of Windows 11 (do not keep my files & programs), Microsoft OneNote 16.0.14430.20234 and Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition; I copied my Project source code solution of a working Add-In to Windows 11; rebuild & deploy; the managed Add-In failed to load!
THIS IS A COMMON ERROR REPORTED IN VIRTUALLY EVERY OFFICE APPLICATION FORM THE BEGINNING OF TIME!
"Location: mscoree.dll - Load behavior: not Loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in."
(*) I have literally spent several "days" researching; following guidance; reviewing source code; bitness; automation script verification; plus many other experiments without success.
(*) ALL THAT IS NECESSARY to resolve these Add-In load failures is for Office Apps to make available the underlying runtime exception message This possibly may require a simple fix. Instead a generic message is shown which helps nobody; the consumer; or the developer. What a terrible experience. So many hours are wasted searching the broad spectrum of possibilities, and still NO RESOLUTION!
