I hope you have learnt from when you tried to discontinue the desktop program last time. The community was not impressed, to put it politely.
And sorry to be so rude about it, but there had better be the option for completely offline notebooks. The UI changes last time were bad, but it was the requirement to upload all notebooks that was the major issue. And your staff's initial reaction to it was downright unacceptable. The amount of arrogance, disregard, disdain, and ignorance they showed was really quite breathtaking.
That you haven't specifically mentioned offline notebooks in this post and the current attitude Microsoft is showing towards customers (Windows 11, Age of Empires IV) does not leave me with a lot of faith that this time will be much better.
Please, actually listen to your customers this time.
