I was one of the many people who followed the instructions to roll back to the old version of MS Whiteboard which at least had the advantage of being functional. This has now been force upgrade to the "new experience" so from my perspective, I have lost access to Whiteboard. Interestingly, this week we lost access to Miro so I thought to try the new version of Whiteboard instead. You cannot even do the most simple tasks in it like resizing boxes and text. I tried, believe me I tried because I desperately needed a collaboration space. It was so far from even being able to do the rudimentary basics that I had to register for a free personal version of Mural.
For now, for individual use I have fully switched over to Win10 app for One Note (which also has version control) although I am unsure how the convergence of One Note app and Desktop is going to pan out, but I hope better than this. For collaboration then I will stick to Miro (although I much prefer Mural).
My advice would be to buy Mural.
