The global pandemic has created a shift in how people work and learn — a shift that will become the new normal as we all figure out how to function in a hybrid world. The last 18 months have seen the...
I awaited the update to MS Whiteboard with bated-breath, but alas...an improvement was not to be!
Where do I start? More like...where do I end?
I shall spare you kind reader of my protracted rant and state with brevity my 'dislikes' (<-understatement):
1. The Pencil Case in the previous version came feature-packed (6 pens, highlighter, eraser, RULER, notes, images, lasso, RULER, do - undo and more) compared to the stingy 3 pens, highlight eraser & lasso and no RULER.
2. Is the Pencil Case in your way? Don't worry, it is bolted to the one spot so you shall need to work elsewhere!
3. Moving the 'Do & Undo' arrows out of the Pencil Case to the ever so 'convenient' (<- sarcasm) location at the top left corner. But hey, if we are going down the whole 'let's write an update without proper user consultation' path why not tidy up the Whiteboard altogether and tuck the Pencil Case away in a drop down menu somewhere in the 'Windows Settings App'?
4. Oh, did I mention the RULER is missing? Yes, you know...that opaquely scratched clear plastic thingy in school with which you use to play cool wobble sounds on the edge of the desk? Point being, the Ruler featured a built in PROTRACTOR which proved awesomely handy when measuring angles. Affixing the other opaquely scratched clear semi-circular plastic thingy to ones screen doesn't quite cut it when...I don't know...one is teaching geometry & trigonometry.
5. Please...don't get me started on the now absent feature of pasting images from ones clipboard (Like really...don't!)
I shall abridge my dislikes to 5 Points and spare you the pain.
