MicrosoftI am teacher who had a "display panel" installed in my room to replace a perfectly good whiteboard. The only redeeming quality about it was the Microsoft whiteboard. I could write easily on an infinite canvas, paste in word, pdf, images quickly, had access to a moveable pallet of customizable colors, and had tools like a ruler and protractor to use. All of these features disappeared on Tuesday morning as I launched it to get ready for class. It took nearly 5 minute to launch and all of the features that I liked were gone. Writing is clunky and the tool palette can't be moved. The ruler is gone. There are fewer pens, meaning I have to open the color palette menu to change past three colors. When I erase, the whole line disappears instead of the small section I need to correct. As a physics teacher, I need to be able to write, draw and model for my students. Please give me back the tools you took away. We're getting so beat up, I didn't need the tool I use the most in my classroom to disappear without warning. I use Microsoft products (and not google) because of their stability, not for continuous updates.
And yes, I checked with my IT department about rolling back the update. They said not their problem.
