I've used MS whiteboard since the pandemic for teaching mathematics and physics. While the new version adds a few handy features but questionable features (arrows at the end of a pen stroke? Seriously, faster to draw them than turning it on and off), it also gets rid of a lot of old ones that make whiteboard unusable for me.
The Bad....
- Can't use snipping tool to quickly copy and paste things like textbooks, worksheets, pictures or diagrams.
- Only able to upload document pages from one drive and for me, some reason it is only pdf and pptx files. Can't even upload MS word documents? Must be bugged.
- Ruler gone
- Less pens. Old version had more pens ready to go.
- Eraser is now delete ALL on the same stroke. Absolutely terrible. There's no fine tuning what we draw / write now.
The absolute deal breaker for a lot of teachers though will be the loss of quick copy and paste.
Will be looking for al alternative whiteboard app.
