I agree with SO many of you! I teach physics and have loved using Microsoft's Whiteboard... until now.
1. Zooming is INSANELY slow. It's a waste of class time and painfully awkward.
2. I need to be able to solve problems on the fly, depending on student questions. The removal of the ability to copy/paste a screenshot of a problem is debilitating. I also used this for copy/pasting/marking student work for grading.
3. The ruler/protractor was necessary to a significant number of our in-class problems.
4. I color code free body diagrams - the larger pen menu was much more convenient.
5. Our campus internet can be flaky. I need to be able to access whiteboards offline and/or have them load quickly.
6. Do I seriously need to erase an entire semester's (or year's) worth of problem-solving by hand...?
7. In the middle of a busy semester, I now need to go shop around for new whiteboard app.... 😞
In general, I prefer functionality over pretty notes and stickers. Whiteboard has seriously lost functionality.
At least give us the option to keep the old Whiteboard. I've always maintained an installation of the old OneNote desktop version because it's way better than OneNote for Windows 10. Let me do the same with whiteboard!
