Hi Miceile Barrett and Mark-Kashman ,
i am a great fan of SharePoint Lists and promote this feature where i can. 
Here is my wishlist for some changes and a great new feature, that will bring SharePoint List into the sky:
- borders or/and other background color for all input fields in the New entry formular view like in the edit formular view! This will improve the clarity of the form.
- if i paste a link into the link field i get an error that the link exceeds 255 chars. Thats why there is actually no easy way to link to an oneNote page.
- the field type "assigned file" opens a dialogue form for choosing a file from desktop explorer. It would be great if the dialogue form would refer to OneDrive or SharePoint content
- providing an new column field with the datatype list. This would allow to track a history for a list item not only as text field but with its own table entries
