alliparrett TorinDidenko SimoneWilliams Good afternoon. I've been advised by Microsoft Support (Case #2507310040007088) to express my organization's problems with this rollout in this space. This rollout has compromised our organization's ability to distribute meeting recordings to our customers. Recordings are no longer downloadable via OneDrive-generated links with "Anyone:Can Edit" permissions. Our customers aren't part of our M365 organization, and our recordings expire in 60 days (to manage our resources efficiently).
If this removal of download access via Anyone/Public share links is by design..
- Can you please share any documentation or communication where Microsoft 365 customers were informed that Anyone:Can Edit sharing links (or just Anyone/Anonymous/Public links in general) will no longer support recording downloads?
- Can you please advise customers in this space of how they should share downloadable recordings with external Users going forward? If "Anyone Links" (an integrated feature of OneDrive that now naturally flows into the ClipChamp viewer experience) no longer support the download of recordings as part of this rollout, what is the replacement? We just need to know how to share downloadable recordings with our customers before the recordings expire. Do we indefinitely retain recordings for online access, or does ClipChamp have a service for this?
If this removal of download access via Anyone/Public share links is not by design..
- Can you please acknowledge whether or not you're aware of the issue? Is there already a published communication detailing this loss of functionality?
Thanks for your time.
