My feedback from using Stream and Clipchamp for the past 8 months - In our organization, we have been trying to use Stream on SharePoint and Clipchamp together for video creation and hosting. They are still far from a unified approach.
1. Video stored in SharePoint document library, editing the video on Clipchamp would create folders in the current library and it disrupts the existing structure. Instead Clipchamp can create these folders in the site assets library and exports can be saved to the document library.
2. Captions/Transcripts generated in Clipchamp are better than the ones generated by Stream player and there is no straightforward solution to export the Transcript in the .vtt format support by Stream player.
3. Stream only supports upto 720p screen recording and Clipchamp supports upto 1080p.
4. It is good to have an option to use the Captions generated in Clipchamp to use for 'Text to Speech' content. The time stamps gets copied if you try to copy them manually, so if the app could have this option, it would be great.
Looking forward for more developments on this space.
