I just did another look through of the Windows 10 app. I DID find Outlook Integration in there now and that's a nice update, but most of the other problems with the Windows 10 app are still there. No local notebooks. No tags (and no tag search). No export. Most of the advanced OneNote features from the 2016 version still aren't there.
I'm still reeling from Microsoft's decision to essentially abandon nearly all the features of one of my favorite tools in favor of something that's barely useful. Luckily, my employer still has Office 2016 deployed so I have the Best Version of OneNote for Windows 10 (in addition to the Windows 10's OneNote Light/Junior version). I've abandoned it OneNote for personal use, though. Since all I get out of OneNote now is a place to type some text and paste links, I'm just using Google Keep.
