The mind-boggling thing about the choice is they don't need a "desert island" edition. They just need to not switch from *an already existing product*. But obviously MS is moving in a direction where they dictate how you will use their software. I was pretty vocal about this when it first came out and since OneNote was literally the only application keeping me in the Windows ecosystem, I've switched totally over to Ubuntu and have just been organizing everything in files/folders the old fashioned way. I've tried several applications, none have the feature set I need, which includes offline notebooks; such is life. Maybe something will pop up now that more and more users are switching over to Linux, especially with Steam's Vulcan. Fingers crossed.
