I have been asking the question why does Microsoft push the less features Edge Browser over the Explorer. My comment is based on the fact that Edge is not compatible with OneNote Linked Note Taking or OneNote tagged screen captures of web pages. Now I know why. Microsoft is choosing to regress the OneNote app to a lesser featured app and these two features are not in the OneNote for Windows app or development pipeline.
On top of that I use the task integration daily. The ability to see all of my work commitments (calendar and tasks) in one place is critical to staying on top of my work. Having OneNote not able to create tasks in outlook is a big loss.
Additionally, I see in the support article discussing the differenced between OneNote for Windows and OneNote 2016 that p2016's age template feature is not going to be added to OneNote for Windows.
