Here's what I'd like to see, as a heavy OneNote iOS and UWP user:
- Adopt, as closely as possible, the UWP app color scheme.
- Use colorful emojis in tab and page names. I make heavy use of these to quickly find tabs and notes, but the Win11 app only displays them in monochrome outline.
- Adopt, as closely as possible, the UWP app layout, or provide options to achieve that layout. I especially dislike horizontal tabs when notebooks and pages are listed vertically. And I don't like having BOTH horizontal and vertically listed tabs, and I have so many tabs that I really need to be able to scroll them vertically. The current horizontal implementation of tab groups is also quite frustrating, as it hides other tabs when you enter a tab group.
- Preserve the option to pin the notebook list at the far left, but don't include all the tabs under each notebook. Doing so makes me have to vertically scroll the notebook list to navigate between notebooks.
- Provide quick access to favorite and recent notes. (OneNote Feed is not sufficient.)
- Fix the horizontal jump scrolling bug.
- Change the "Add Page" button to have a drop-down option to "add page at bottom of section" or "add page below current page"
- Don't have TWO search boxes in the UI...
- Comprehensively reorganize the Settings dialog. So many options are "show X on the left" instead of a left/right toggle, or better, a more visual layout choice.
