I'm pretty sure MS has already made the decision about OneNote. Whether or not the OneTastic team ports their code (as if this were a trivial task) certainly wouldn't change the decision made by the 'mighty' MS. Same thing applies to all the complaints here so far, everyone knows they are voicing concerns that probably have no weight, but we say it anyway. Cannot be helped when you feel frustrated :-(
I guess this is what comes from when users have only 'one' choice, as with many other things. You can bet if there was a solid alternative to OneNote, we would not even have this discussion (take web browsers for example - several solid alternatives, you really can't be bothered if any one developer chooses not to listen to what actually HELPS users be more productive and do their jobs better, you just move on to the next browser which is just as good)
Here's to hoping one day, we get many viable alternatives to OneNote 2016.
