I have an Office 365 subscription already, that I had on my Window 10 laptops last year, a short time later, the latest version of Windows 10 update shut off access to my files. They did it purposely, (for some unknown reason), and gave instructions on how to turn it back on. I followed the instructions to the letter, it told me access was restored, and I went back to Office 365 and tried to open it, & got the same notice. I retried multiple times and got the same results. I gave up, and went back to my old laptop and tried it out there. Got the same message, went through the procedure again, this time it worked. It was a different brand computer. I had a broken screen, which is why I replaced it. but it was still usable. Then a few weeks later, Windows 10 updated their software again, I was leery of updating again, but I reluctantly consented. Sure enough, it did it to me again. Apparently, Windows 10 hadn't destroyed enough computers on their 1st attempt so they added another update to get rid of the rest of them. The reason I got my Office 365 app was because I was elected to be the Church Board and they asked me to be the Board Secretary. I had used Office software at my job as a Design Engineer for 22 years, so I wanted to use that at home now. So I eventually purchased an Acer Chromebook. It has Google docs. on it and I've been using it for quite awhile now, & I still don't like it as well as Office 365, or Office Home and Student 2013, that I also have. Can either of those programs be installed on a Chromebook computer? My current subscription for Office 365 is still valid until April 9, 2020, so can I install it on this Acer Chromebook?
