Brian Besand But does the notification also include an option to extend the hard deletion? We have had several instances where the ex-employee manager cannot review all the e-mail/files before 30 days. If they could enter a date themselves or extend 30 days further it would be an excellent addition.
Joe McGiven Corban, I know what you mean, We have had people lingering in lists and it looks as if they have access when the name of an ex is still showing. We sometimes go in and remove the user from the Site Settings, People and Groups to make them disappear just to satisfy some leaders that think the people still have access when they have left. The leaders do not always realize just because someone shows in a list or a version history timestamp does not mean they can still log in. Too bad there is not a way for the system to make someone disappear from the SharePoint UI and active pages and leave them in the logs. What is really weird is how they still show in all the extra apps like Delve and People but if you click on the hotlinks it returns an error that makes some users think the system is broken. Would be nice if the message was customizable to say, "this person no longer in the company" or something similar. With all the remote-ness the internet has given us, it sometimes takes a while for the rest of the company to learn someone has left.
