We understand that the search bar can get in the way, so we will look for ways to reduce this impact without having to enter full screen mode.
I've just spotted another problem with the floating search box intruding onto the canvas; it makes it much harder to move content within a page. I have the notes and screenshots I took of a Build session this year and now that I have the transcript, I've dropped the transcript into the same page and I want to drag the screenshots into the right place in the transcript. usually that's pretty straightforward, but the floating search box makes it harder to see where I am and it seems to make the page scroll strangely as well, with some bounces and jumps as the canvas goes under the search box. these are really basic, everyday OneNote things that are now harder to do - pleeeeeeaaaaaaase give us a way to put the box back where it was! I've even got the perfect place to move it to - the gap at the end of the notebook list!
