Matt_Anderson tvanhollebeke Exactly what I commented above is now coming to bear and will be a consistent issue going forward. I see on the roadmap loop components are being integrated into OneNote and now OneNote is being added as default in new teams and channels.
Please can you explain why MS is continuing to develop two applications that have the same functionality?
Why is OneNote not being discontinued and all development going on in Loop Workspaces?
I've also put a comment in the below blog post:

Matt_Anderson I am glad Loop components are being integrated with Planner, but the way this is done seems like it is leaving a lot to be desired. Why can loop components not reference already made tasks in a Planner board rather than creating a new lightweight planner board for each task list?
Business scenario: Planner board for task management for frontline workers, all as part of a warehouse team. Want an update on a specific task within that planner board via sending a loop component of it either via email or chat. This scenario doesn't work as the loop component will have no reference to the original task in the planner board (create a completely new plan) or if it does (via having to have a collaborative page linking to the planner board) then it moves these tasks to specific buckets for that specific task list which completely negates the organizing of task with buckets that was previously setup.
