it seems you miss something :
- I didn't say for free, there would be no problem to pay in order to activate SA on Server & CALs licences, even with a penalty.
- It's not a new product, it's exactly the same we are running for years.
With your example with a car and actual Microsoft Strategy
- I got a car -> drop it, and loose all the money you spent to buy it
- Buy a car, not a new, the same car, same mileage, same color, same options, every thing is exactly the same. Just to activate a contract which allow you to access some new features and options, later.
Nobody do such (stupid) things in real life.
To MS : you can learn from Trump. He realize he was doing something not really useful and change his mind. It's not to late to change for you also !
