Christinecousin52 Well summarised. This poor user experience is reflected throughout Office, nay should I say Windows?! Being bugged by unnecessary messages is a part of Windows life. I'm one of the rare creatures that actually uses the handwriting panel, and have done since its inception, so for two decades. Despite that experience, the large 'Editing tips' link is still there by the Enter button and I still click it accidently. That brings a full-screen pop-up of tips I do not need to be reminded of. I have found no way to turn it off or disable it. It's the handwriting user's equivalent of Clippy.
MS do not listen. They are all eye candy and gimmicks Perhaps if this were all over Twitter instead, someone might pay a bit more attention to the negative publicity - here, this really is just an echo chamber 😟
