Thank you Lissa, we're all in this together. I realize I wrote New Comments but meant Modern Comments, the official name of the new version. I should also have said millions, not thousands, of editors. According to joShu001 (July 18, 2022 post) the most conservative estimate of the number of people who use Word for work is 5 million. To paraphrase: Half of the 1 billion of Office users use Word, and 10% of those are intermediate-to-advanced (savvy enough to bemoan Modern Comments), which is 50,000,000 (fifty million). To be cautious, let’s suppose it is actually only 1% (one out of one-hundred users are intermediate+ Word users), then that leaves five million of "we happy few across the planet".
