I find more and more reasons to hate this POS update they are calling Modern Comments. So anyway, this is my current rant; I was doing some writing of my own. Often I add a blank comment as a place marker. I can't do that, either. I am forced to type something into the comment before I can 'start a conversation'.
I'm not au fait enough to delete registry keys and the macro is good idea, but not the best solution for me. I got too confused 😞 I'm not a software guru. But I appreciate all the good advice and help I've found here. A big thanks to all who tried to help!
Plus, Microsoft Katie Sullivan TheoHale and the others have essentially told us all to F off, haven't they? They knew our anger would eventually wear itself out and we'd capitulate. *sigh* And they are right. I cannot sustain this frustration forever. This is so wrong. It's bad business.
Bruce_Wayne831 there is a petition out there somewhere (we got ourselves a seat in the naughty chair for posting the link) that I'm sure you can find. Sign it. Have every person you know sign it. We are unlikely to change anything about this monstrosity, but I'm firmly in be-as-big-a-pain-in-the-**bleep**-as-I-can mode.
