How many people does it take to write in and share their deep and heartfelt loathing for Modern Comments before Microsoft decides to pay attention and fix this horrific “update” by giving us the option to return Comments to the classic format? Then the five people who might think Modern Comments is awesome can use it and the rest of us who actually use Comments for copy editing and document review can return to our normally scheduled work flow without further disruption.
Microsoft just needs to face facts. Y’all released an update that your users DESPISE. It’s New Coke. It’s Betamax. It’s Windows Vista. Just own it and admit yeah, okay, it sucks. Stop wasting our time and stressing us all out by doubling down on this horrible program just to save your egos and prove you somehow know better than those of us who actually use the product. Just say you’re sorry, FIX IT, and move on so we can too.
